IFAP has both a student Steering Committee and an Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board is composed of local attorneys, domestic violence advocates and other professionals, plays an integral role in our organization.  The Board advises the student Steering Committee on a wide variety of legal and non-legal issues arising from case management, student and attorney training, and other activities.  The Board keeps abreast of the organization’s activities through two annual meetings and communication with Faculty Chair, Anita Ramasastry.  In addition, one student Steering Committee member acts as an Advisory Board Liaison. 

The student Steering Committee comprises about a dozen current UW law students who deal with the day-to-day administration of IFAP's activities, along with attorneys at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) and the faculty advisor.  IFAP also hires a part-time legal fellow, with a generous donation from Bruce and Aphrodite Garrison, for each summer and fall to work on projects related to attorney training, outreach, and administrative support.  The 2007 Garrison IFAP Fellow is Danielle Doyle.
