The centerpiece of the second floor is the Clinical Law Program suite. Our legal clinics offer a variety of free services to the public, and give students a chance to apply their knowledge in a ‘real-life’ setting. The clinical suite resembles a modern law office and provides private interview rooms, where students and clients can meet. Each room is equipped with recording and monitoring equipment that allows instructors to offer feedback and advice. Read more about the Clinical Law Program.
In March 2005, third-year students Suzanne Love and Taiyyeba Safri argued their first case in front of a judge. Actually, they argued in front of nine judges. The two women, both members of the Innocence Project Northwest clinic, argued a case involving a change in the accomplice liability law in Washington state. Read more about their experience.
