Applying for Financial Aid
FAFSA Form Required
The University of Washington only requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, called the "FAFSA."
- Deadline: FAFSA must be received by February 28.

- Student Aid Reports: The University of Washington does not accept paper copies of Student Aid Reports (SARs).
- Complete the FAFSA online

February 28 - We recommend that your completed FAFSA be mailed or transmitted by February 15. If you do not meet the priority deadline, you will be considered for limited types of aid
(most likely only the Stafford Loan programs will be available).
Additional Forms
If you are admitted, a scholarship application will be sent with your admission packet.
Avoid problems
- Keep a copy of your completed FAFSA
- Keep a copy of your Federal Tax Return
- Promptly report any changes of address to the Law School Admissions Office (William H. Gates Hall, Box 353020, Seattle WA 98195-3020) and to the Office of Student Financial Aid (206)543-4552
- Read your mail very carefully and respond to
our requests as quickly as possible. Call us at (206)543-4552 if you
have any questions. When we request a document or a written explanation,
we may stop processing the file until we get a response.
