Application for Scholarships for Admitted and Continuing Students for the Juris Doctor Program
The University of Washington School of Law is committed to providing as much scholarship assistance as possible to entering and continuing students. Our scholarship program is made possible from the generous contributions of our donors. Scholarship awards are based on financial need, academic merit and other measures of excellence as demonstrated in an applicant’s file.

- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 28
- Submission are accepted from January 1 through April 15 for entering students, and through June 15 for continuing students.

Section A:
Entering Student Scholarship Essay
Please submit an essay that describes how you strive to be a leader in the community and what contributions you plan to make at the University of Washington School of Law. You may also provide information about past meaningful achievements, special attributes, and any personal or family circumstances that contribute to your financial need.
Continuing Student Scholarship Essay
Please submit an essay that describes your contributions to the community and at the University of Washington School of Law. You may also provide information about your involvement in student organizations, journals, recruitment activities, leadership roles, volunteer work that serve the public, and any recent changes in personal or family circumstances that contribute to your financial need.
Please limit your essay to 500 words or less (7500 characters max).

Section C:

scholarship.
