Curriculum Vitae


Professor Hotchkiss is a Senior Lecturer at the UW School of Law and Director of Academic Advising. She also holds an adjunct appointment at the UW Information School.

Professor Hotchkiss joined the full-time faculty in 1999. She became the Assistant Dean for Academic Services in 2002 and Director of Academic Advising in 2005. Her administrative responsibilities include general academic advising, review of internal petitions related to the J.D. program, and academic oversight of externships and study abroad programs.

Professor Hotchkiss teaches Advanced Legal Research, Information Policy, and Employment Law. Her research interests include the legislative process, information policy, and access to justice issues. She is the editor-in-chief of Perspectives: Teaching Legal Research and Writing. Her prior employment includes eight years at the U.S. Courts Library in Seattle and three years at the White House Law Library. She is admitted to the Maryland state bar.
