    The program will include Professor Schnapper’s lecture The Art of Summary Judgment.  During the lecture, Schnapper will explore how the summary judgment motion practice

    • Poses tactical opportunities and pitfalls unlike trials
    • May require a distinctive approach to discover
    • Presents opportunities to shape the judgment through procedural devices not established (or forbidden) by Rule 56
    • Raises a number of unresolved procedural and evidentiary legal questions.
