  • - Above The Law So when did law students start acting like a bunch of wimps? Cause that’s the takeaway I’m getting after these past couple of weeks. Don’t get me wrong, some pretty upsetting events have gone down recently. But that doesn’t translate into Harvard law students asking to delay their exams because “feelings.” It’s also bizarre to expect to go into a criminal law class and never discuss rape law. What happened? When did law students become so spineless? (12/18/14)
  • - The Washington Post In the former category, SCOTUSBlog is hosting a mini-symposium on the case, my own contribution to which is here. (Regular VC readers will recognize many of the arguments.) Other contributors, thus far, include Nicholas Bagley and Abbe Gluck, two of the more thoughtful folks on other side of this case. More will follow. (11/10/14)
  • - C-SPAN From the Cato Institute's October 30th Halbig/King Conference (10/30/14)
  • - Seattle PI A federal lawsuit filed Wednesday challenges Seattle’s adoption of what would be the nation’s highest minimum wage as unfair to small franchises. The Seattle City Council voted unanimously this month to gradually raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. The plan gives businesses with more than 500 employees nationally at least three years to phase in the increase – four if they provide health insurance. Smaller employers get seven years. (6/12/14)
