LAW B 574 Consumer Law

Examines issues particular to consumer transactions in formation, substance and remedies. Topics include: common law consumer issues; Federal Trade Commission, state and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulation of consumer transactions; abuses in the marketplace such as Internet-based fraud. Examine evolution of the consumer law, and its economic and social policies.
