LAW A512 Secured Transactions

Credits: 3-4, Variable


Course is concerned with all aspects of security in personal property, including creation of security interests, perfection, priorities (between competing security interests and between security interests and other property interests), default, realization procedures, and redemption. The emphasis is on Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code but coverage includes basic problems for security interests under federal bankruptcy law. (Not open to students who have taken Law A586 Secured Transactions IV.)
