LAW B591 Law and Society in Asia

The course inquires into major issues in law and society studies by drawing on comparative examples from Asia. The course requires extensive readings in foundational law and society texts as well as comparative texts on law and culture in Korea, Japan and other countries. Open to JD and LL.M students, as well as to graduate students in regional Asian studies. Current and intending Ph.D. candidates in Asian and Comparative Law are strongly encouraged to enroll.
