LAW E541 Electronic Commerce And Information Technology
An introduction to legal and policy issues raised by electronic commerce and other emerging information technologies. Topics considered in depth will vary and may include intellectual property and contract issues raised by establishing an online commercial presence, rights and obligations of users of network services including constitutional rights, information privacy, electronic contracts, electronic payments, security interests in intellectual property rights, licensing of intellectual property and data, jurisdiction and choice of law, Internet governance and domain name registration dispute resolution, computer crime, computer security, e-government services, and other relevant developments.
