LAW B546 Comparative Corporate Governance

Credits: 2-4, Variable


Explores the current academic thinking about corporate governance and ownership, divided among these topics: the business structure of the firm, the role of institutional investors in the public corporation, the role of public corporations in financing political campaigns, the role of gatekeepers in recent financial scandals, major differences in large firm corporate governance around the world, current thinking on jurisdictional competition in producing corporate law, and shareholder primacy. Prerequisite or co-requisite: A515 or A514.
