Law P545 Advanced Patent Law Seminar

This course will study public policy and practice considerations relating to patenting research results in high technology such as biotechnology and information technology with in-depth treatment of unique practice areas.The course will examine most up-to-date issues in legal protection of technology from the comparative law perspective. Students will write and present a research paper on a topic related to patent law and policy. The paper will meet the standards of the Advanced Writing Project requirement for the JD program and the research and thesis requirement for the Intellectual Property LL.M program.
