Computing Labs & Printers

Labs and Public Terminals

The student computer lab is located in room 222 and has 6 PCs and a self-serve scanner workstation, all available on a first-come first-serve basis. Your Husky card is required to enter. Access to the law is consistent with student access to William H. Gates Hall.

Public terminals are also available in the Gallagher Law Library (levels L1 and L2 of William H. Gates Hall). The available terminals in the Gallagher Law Library are as follows:

  • 24 Standup terminals (L107)
  • 8 Reference desk (L109)
  • 2 Wireless Marian (L1)
  • 3 Student Lounge (L113)
  • 1 Circulation Desk (L108)
  • 3 Wireless Marian (L2)

Printers

The Law School uses Pharos, the UW campus' pay-per-job printing system, for student printing needs, including wireless printing. The Pharos system is maintained by Dawg Prints, rather than Law School Technology Services. Pharos printers are available at the following locations:

  • Law Student Computer Lab - room 222
  • Law Library - room L114

To send a job to a printer that is part of the Pharos system, your computer must have the Pharos client software. Pharos client software, installation instructions, and a guide to configuring your system for wireless printing can be found at the Dawg Prints website.
