Printing on the Wireless Network
Public printers in the UW Law School are operated on the Pharos
Pay-to-Print system. This system requires that print jobs be submitted
to the Pharos system using the Pharos Popups software. Once a printout
is sent to the printer, it can be retrieved at either of the two
printing stations in the building: in the Law School (Computer Lab, room
222), or Gallagher Law Library (room L114) using your Husky card.
Downloading the software below will allow you to send print jobs
directly to these printers. Once the software is installed, the computer
needs only an internet connection -- such as our wireless network -- to
submit jobs.
To get started, please refer to the section below that's appropriate for
your operating system. For users of Microsoft Windows, we currently
support Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and have minimal support for
Windows 7. We also support
Apple Computers running Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
Earlier versions of Windows and Mac OS are not supported.

Windows 2000/XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7
Click on the link below to download the setup file to your computer.
Important note for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users: Please be sure to right-click
on the link below and choose to save the file to your desktop. To install Pharos support, right-click
on the saved file and select "Run as administrator".
Important note for 64-bit users: The installation procedure described below will not work on 64-bit versions of Windows (XP, Vista, or 7). Please use the installation procedure described here instead.
Windows 2000/XP users can use the link below to either open the file and run the installation immediately, or to save the file to their computer to run the installation later.
All users may be asked to restart the system to complete the installation.

Important note for users of OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard):
The following procedure is untested on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Please visit the
Dawg-Prints website for more information.
Important note for users of OS X prior to 10.4 (Tiger):
Printing to the Pharos printers is no longer supported under Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) and earlier.
