Advocate for Clients in Litigation

In a UW Law Clinic you can advocate for clients in a wide variety of civil, criminal and administrative law litigation contexts. Investigate claims of innocence in post-conviction proceedings in trial and appellate courts.  Represent youth in dependency or other civil matters.  Defend immigrants in deportation proceedings. Engage in criminal defense in Tribal Court in King County District Courts.  Or include individual client representation as one of your Tools for Change in the Race and Justice Clinic.

Litigation Advocacy Clinics

In any of these contexts you will learn skills that transfer to other settings – whether direct and cross examination, motion practice, brief writing, or appellate argument.
