Pro Bono Attorney Information
Pro bono supervising attorneys teach, supervise, and mentor ELC students in conjunction with ELC staff. Our students have taken various prerequisites but occasionally need help understanding unfamiliar substantive law and with their research and writing skills. Supervising attorneys also review all student work product and communications to clients, supervise client meetings, and help students uphold a high standard of professionalism and ethical behavior.
Pro bono attorneys are covered by the ELC’s malpractice insurance and the ELC provides participating firms and attorneys with enough information to run conflict checks prior to beginning their service. Hours volunteered with the ELC count toward WSBA and ABA pro bono challenges.
