Comings and Goings
We say farewell to Jill Dutton as Jill leaves the Northwest Justice Project for new horizons. Because Jill has a unique combination of expertise, her departure means that we also say goodby to the Refugee and Immigrant Advocacy Clinic. Many thanks to Jill and to all the RIAC students for their great work over the years.
Kim Ambrose
will spend summer 2009 in Beijing volunteering with International Bridges to Justice on a juvenile justice and clinical legal education project and Winter-Spring 2010 volunteering in Africa.
Lisa Kelly
has completed a two year term as Associate Dean for the Law School. She will take a well-deserved sabbatical during Winter and Spring quarters, 2010.
Because Professors Ambrose and Kelly will both be away from the law school for part of the 2009-10 academic year, the
Children and Youth Advocacy Clinic
will be offered in a new format.
For 2009-10 Washington Supreme Court Justice (Ret.) Bobbe Bridge ’76 and Columbia Legal Services Attorney Casey Trupin ’99 will teach the Legislative Advocacy Clinic, focusing on issues affecting children and youth.
The Innocence Project Northwest Clinic
welcomes its first legal fellow
Kelly Canary
’07 thanks to a generous donation from the Riverstyx Foundation.
The Federal Tax Clinic
welcomes
John Clynch
as its staff attorney. Thanks to the UW LL.M. program for supporting this position.
