Fall Recruiting Program (OCI) 2013

The Center for Professional and Leadership Development (CPLD) offers many opportunities for employers to connect with UW School of Law students for summer and post-graduate positions. We hope you will consider participating in one or more of the programs below.

On-Campus Interviews

Deadline to Register: May 1, 2013

On-Campus Interviews (OCI) will be held at the law school on the following dates:

  • August 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23
  • September 26 & 27

Resume Collection

Submit requests by Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Employers who are unable to interview on campus are invited to participate in Resume Collection. To be competitive with employers who interview on campus we suggest a student application deadline no later than August 1.

Job Announcements

Job announcements for student and attorney positions are accepted any time during the year.  Post your available positions online at Symplicity or by e-mail attachment to .

Video Conference Interviews

Video conference interviews can be arranged using IP or ISDN systems for employers who cannot meet with students on campus. To schedule a video interview, please send your request to .

Off-Campus Career Fairs

Northwest Minority Job Fair

Sponsored by a consortium of private and public employers committed to promoting diversity in the Seattle legal community, the 27th annual job fair will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the offices of Davis Wright Tremaine, 1201 Third Avenue, Suite 2200, Seattle, WA 98101.

National Law School Consortium

Registration Deadlines are June 28 and July 12  – See website for details.
Interviews are held in New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Miami during August & September.

Fall Recruiting Program 2013 (OCI) Important Dates to Remember

Friday, February 15 – Fall Recruiting Registration for Employers is open on Symplicity.

Wednesday, May 1 – Registration deadline for employers who want to participate in the Fall Recruiting Program (OCI). Registration materials and fees must be received in the Center for Professional and Leadership Development by this date.

Tuesday, July 23 – Student application materials released to employers.

Monday, August 5 – NOON Deadline for Employers to Submit Pre-Selections On-Line in Symplicity. [Please note early deadline.]

Thursday, August 8 – Target date for On-Campus Interview Schedules to be published in Symplicity to employers and students.

August 19, 20, 21, 22, & 23 – Interviews held on campus.

September 26 & 27 – Interviews held on campus.

Callback Dates – the University of Washington School of Law does not set formal "callback" or "flyback" weeks. However, employers who conduct interviews in September are encouraged to schedule callback interviews prior to September 23, the first day of fall quarter classes at the law school.
