Stealing from worker’s pockets: The prevalence of wage theft and proposed legislative responses in Washington.

Presented by: Students for Labor and Employment Justice

Andrea Schmitt from Columbia Legal Services joins us to share about the prevalence of wage theft for workers in Washington State. She will be joined by a representative from Casa Latina’s Worker Defense Committee who will speak about the reality of being a victim of wage theft as a worker in Washington. Both advocates will discuss current proposed legislative responses to the problem and challenges to these solutions.
