IFAP is hosting a discussion of the U.S. immigration detention system and current efforts to effect reform. In 2011, the United States held over 400,000 people in immigration detention--many are questioning the effectiveness, fairness and financial wisdom of our current system.
Panel members include:
Signe Dortch, Director of the UW Immigration Clinic
Betsy Tao, Directing Attorney of the Tacoma office of the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project
