Graduate tuition is set separately from J.D. tuition at the University of Washington and the levels of tuition differ for different graduate programs in law.

Most international students will be non-residents for the duration of their study at UW.
As a State-supported institution, the University of Washington’s tuition rates offer exceptional value. Accident and health insurance; books and supplies; room and board; personal expenses and transportation are estimated at an additional USD $17,000 – $20,000.

Financial Aid
- Financial aid at the University of Washington is very limited.
- Students in exceptional financial need may submit a statement indicating this with their application.
- Applicants seeking financial assistance should investigate funding sources in their home countries well in advance. Examples of such sources include employers, government agencies and foundations.
- Applicants for the Asian and Comparative Law LL.M. program are automatically considered for tuition waivers. A small number are awarded each year.
