Summer Institute - Registration & Info
Health Insurance
All international students and scholars are required to maintain adequate health insurance while
attending a program of study at the University of Washington.
Institute registrants continuing to a degree program in the University of Washington
School of Law will be required to separately purchase UW Student Health Insurance
for the year. More information
Since coverage under the UW mandatory student health insurance does not begin until the start of the formal academic year in late September, it is strongly recommended that students purchase other short-term coverage for the gap period.
On the ISS webpage, several option are linked under Other Insurance Plans.
