Law School Alumni Association

The University of Washington Law School Alumni Association (LSAA) was incorporated in 1949 to "promote the welfare of the law school." Throughout its history, the association has carried out its simply stated purpose by a variety of activities reflective of the needs of the school. The association serves in an advisory capacity for law school deans, assists through committees in minority recruitment, student placement, and career planning services for students and alumni. It has provided funding for new student orientation programs; an active Mentor program which pairs practicing attorneys with students; commencement exercises; publication of the first-year student handbook; and various scholarships and faculty assistance programs.

Under the auspices of the Alumni Association, the law school publishes its quarterly UW Law magazine. Association resources also support the Class Reunion program, provide funding for administration, faculty and staff participation at alumni gatherings; provide underwriting support for the law school CLE discount program; and support special projects and activities throughout the year, including publication of an Alumni Directory and the annual Alumni Banquet.
