UW School of Law loan repayment assistance program (LRAP) endowment fund
A $500,000 appropriation for the UW School of Law Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) Endowment, included in the
Washington state 2007-09 biennial budget, was signed by Governor Christine Gregoire on May 15, 2007. The money is slated to
provide UW law school graduates who pursue careers in public interest legal positions with payment assistance toward their student loan debt.
Under the budget, $250,000 was directed to the LRAP endowment in July 2007 and the remaining $250,000 is available as a match. The matching fund is contingent upon $250,000 in private gifts received for the LRAP Endowment during the 2007-08 fiscal year.
The graph below shows the progress of raising the necessary $250,000 to receive the match half of the State appropriation. Contributions can be made to the LRAP Endowment by sending your gift (payable to the UW School of Law) to:
