How to Apply: Summer Quarter (Visiting) Admissions

General Information

Summer quarter courses at the University of Washington School of Law can be taken by students in good standing at other law schools and by students normally enrolled at the University of Washington.  Courses are taught by University of Washington School of Law faculty or visiting law professors.

Students expecting to graduate from the University of Washington School of Law have priority over non-degree candidates in the selection of courses.

The University of Washington School of Law summer quarter offers visiting students the opportunity for study in a unique setting.  Surrounded on the east and west by the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, watched over by Mount Rainier, which at 14,400 feet dominates the southeastern horizon, Seattle is a spectacular place to spend a summer.  In addition to the many recreational activities provided by mountains and seashore in close proximity, the city of Seattle and the University of Washington provide many cultural and recreational outlets to pursue during leisure time.  Among these are major league baseball, productions by many different theater troupes, and excellent restaurants of every national and ethnic stripe.  In addition, the Law School is within a mile of running trails, three freshwater lakes, and many parks, and it provides on-campus facilities for indoor and outdoor recreation at the Intramural Athletic Building.  An excellent public transportation system makes all of these attractions easily accessible.
